January 21, 2009 - Filedoyen 1.5 released!
Version 1.5 of Filedoyen was today released. This is a significant update and features a number of improvements and new features. Details can be found below in the History section.
December 18, 2008 - Filedoyen 1.5 Beta Pix.
Work on Filedoyen 1.5 is progressing well with an expected release date of late next month (January 2009).
In the meantime, here are a few pix of the 1.5 beta showing some different views and color schemes.
September 23, 2008 - Next Filedoyen version coming.
The next version of Filedoyen is now under active development. It will include a new interface and numerous upgrades and enhancements. This will be a free update for all registered version 1* users. As further information becomes available it will be seen here first.
December 21, 2007 - Filedoyen 1.4 update released.
Filedoyen 1.4 was released today. This version has a number of under the hood improvements and tweaks as well as general enhancements. Details are listed below in the History section.
September 17, 2007 - Filedoyen 1.4 in development.
The next version of Filedoyen - 1.4 - is currently under development and is expected to become available for download in December. This version will include a number of enhancements as well as fixes and tweaks.
February 23, 2007 - Filedoyen 1.35 released.
A maintenance release (version 1.35) of Filedoyen became available today. What's new and updated in this version is listed below in the History section.
January 18, 2007 - Filedoyen 1.3 available.
Version 1.3 of Filedoyen was released today and is available for download. New features include a modified user interface, file and folder MRU menu items and collapsible toolbars and file manager tree panels.

January 12, 2007 - Price drop!
For a limited time, Filedoyen can be purchased for just US$24.95, nearly a 30% discount.
December 2, 2006 - Work on Filedoyen 1.3 started.
Development of version 1.3 of Filedoyen has started. This promises to be quite a big update with features such as interface changes, automatic RTF to text conversion, toolbar folding and MRU file and folder lists all scheduled for inclusion. This will be a free update for registered Filedoyen users.
December 1, 2006 - New Filedoyen site goes live
Today Filedoyen received its own dedicated Web site (this site). We hope that this will allow us to expand the coverage of all things Filedoyen.
October 30, 2006 - Filedoyen 1.2 is released.
Filedoyen 1.2 is now available for download. New features include file and folder compare and the ability to open more many file types using IE extensions.

October 4, 2006 - Filedoyen 1.2 on the way.
Filedoyen 1.2 is currently under development and is expected before the end of October. New features will include file and folder compare and the ability to view more file types such as PDF. This will be a free update for registered Filedoyen users.
August 28, 2006 - Filedoyen 1.1 Update.
Filedoyen 1.1 is now available for download. New features include an integrated hex editor, the ability to save searches and also search within archives, to minimize to the system tray and more configurations options.
August 4, 2006 - Work starts on Filedoyen 1.1.
Work has started on Filedoyen 1.1. New features scheduled for this update include a hex editor coupled to the file manager, expanded search capabilities for finding files within archives and more layout and configurations options.
July 19, 2006 - Filedoyen 1.0 released.
Filedoyen, Cowtec's premier software package has been released and is available for download.
The program features a file manager and archive manager coupled to an integrated syntax highlighting text editor, an image viewer and file and text search tool.
February 6, 2006 - Cowtec site is up!
Today the Cowtec's main Web site - http://www.cowtec.com - went live.

Filedoyen 1.5 - Released January 21, 2009- Added:
- The second file manager and each utility now has its own access button from the main button bar.
- Utility tabs can be hidden.
- Option to hide the editor/viewer toolbar when editor is in 'small' mode.
- View or copy EXIF data for jpeg (*.jpg) and tiff (*.tif) images.
- The user can choose from a number of color schemes.
- Set default HTML view - source or formatted.
- Open the Windows registry editor menu item.
- Ability to set folders in either file manager as the default folder in that file manager.
- Option to set file manager fonts to the system font (same as Windows Explorer).
- Folders automatically expand on selection (can be disabled).
