Filedoyen support

As much as we may try to create the perfect piece of software, the complexity of software development ensures that problems do occasionally surface. If you suspect that you may have found a bug in Filedoyen, please feel free to contact us directly at support@filedoyen.com or if you prefer, use the form below:

When reporting a bug, please try and be as specific as possible and give a literal step-by-step account of how to reproduce the problem. Remember that if we cannot reproduce your problem, it will make it all the more difficult to fix.

Bugs can be a real nuisance!

Depending upon the nature of your request and the complexity of the problem, you will typically receive a response within a few days.

Customer Service

If you have ordered software and would like to review your order information, or if you have questions about ordering, payment, or shipping procedures, please go to the ShareIt Customer Care Center.

Tips

  • The Filedoyen menus are not compatible with WindowBlinds skinning if running under Windows Vista and can cause problems (XP is ok). To use Filedoyen with WindowBlinds running, please add a per application setting to disable skinning for Filedoyen.

  • When dragging files or folders within a file manager or between file managers in Filedoyen, it is often useful to use the right mouse button instead of the left. This is because when using the right mouse button, a dialog will pop-up allowing you to choose whether to copy or move the file or cancel the operation. This gives you more control, unlike with the left mouse button which just uses whatever setting has been set for Windows Explorer.

  • Filedoyen will automatically keep its size and window position between uses.

  • When you press the Minimize button (in the Control section of the main toolbar), Filedoyen will hide itself in the System Tray and just show its icon. Clicking on the icon brings up a menu, allowing you to show the program again (or hide it if its visible).

  • Look under the Filedoyen Tools menu for quick access to the Windows Control Panel and the Registry Editor.

  • In Filedoyen, to set your preferred file manager starting folder, navigate to that folder (click on it in the Tree pane) then right-click to bring up the pop-up menu and click on 'Set Current Path as FM# Default'. Each file manager's start folder can be individually set this way.

  • The Editor button has a drop-down menu that allows you to manually pick the text editor, image viewer or browser.
